Christopher Peter Meloni (born Christopher Peter Meloni) is an American actor, most famous as a star of the well-known television series Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His passion for acting started in his early college days. He studied acting at University of Colorado at Boulder. His television characters have earned him plenty of recognition. The actor has the ability to portray characters of both the good and bad aspects of the legal system. He can draw the attention of viewers effortlessly. He was the voice of a serial killer on the first TV series he appeared in and then went on to take on the role of an NYPD detective. Multiple times he was recognized for his work in the highly coveted Emmy Awards, and the PRISM Awards. He is known for his blue piercing eyes, which have become the trademark of his character and has helped him in portraying tough characters with a sense of humor. The People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive 2006 featured the actor.
